LPN with Urgent care, acute care, State Vaccine Experience
Essential Duties of Position:
- Obtain patient histories and medical information during patient visits.
- Assist with medical and minor surgical procedures.
- Assist physicians with their clinical activities, including rooming patients and preparing for procedures.
- Anticipate patient needs and prioritize care/treatment.
- Assess, report, and record vital signs, measurements and collect specimens, as well as registering patients and check and apply co-pays.
- Triage calls and respond immediately to any urgent medical inquiries.
- Call patients to discuss test results.
- Assist with prescription refills and authorizations.
- Maintain a comfortable, orderly, safe and clean environment for patients.
- Serve as a source of information on nursing matters pertaining to practice. Prepare patients for continuing care after treatment.
- May administer medications under the direction and authority of professional medical staff person.
- Record medical notes for physicians into patient charts ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- Perform additional functions incidental to nursing activities including but not limited to maintaining adequate inventory of medical supplies and instruments.
- Respond to medical emergencies, commence CPR and operate the necessary equipment.
- Complete daily clinical assignments.
- Keep Center Administrator informed of orders to be placed to maintain adequate inventory of medical supplies and instruments for clinics.
- May Order and maintain inventory of office and medical supplies.
Education and Experience
- 4 years of related work experience, two of them in the same job field or at the next lower level, a high school diploma; and two years of working in an ambulatory outpatient practice.
- Licensure as an LPN in the state of CT and in good standing.
- Graduation from a state accredited program of practical nurse education.
- Current CPR certification.
- Demonstrated clinical competence
- Ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team, with strong patient and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational and critical thinking skills, self motivated.
- Excellent attendance and reliability

X-Ray Technologist Full-Time/Part-Time or Per Diem
X-Ray Technologist
Objective: To perform all diagnostic x-rays and assist in the triage of the patients, as well as working the front desk with registration and accepting co-pays.
Primary Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):
- Perform all diagnostic x-rays that are ordered by the treating provider.
- Assist nursing staff in the performance of triaging newly registered patients
- Direct patients to available examination rooms and ensure rooms are set up based on patient initial complain
- Assist with copying insurance cards and verifying co pays as well as registering new patients.
- Restock medical supplies
- Assist physician with patient care when requested
- Perform POC (Point of Care) diagnostic tests, including (blood pressure, pulse, respiration, along with fingerstix blood sugar)
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 months experience post-graduation working as a licensed X-Ray Technologist in the State of Connecticut.
- Basic understanding of digital x-ray services
- Understanding of the concepts of universal precautions, HIPAA and OSHA
- Team player, excellent verbal and communication skills, adaptable in different situations, possesses excellent client interaction skills, able to multi-task and work independently.
