Emergency rooms in the U.S. are overcrowded and most of the time, there is a wait. If your injuries or illnesses are “non-life threatening,” you may not be seen for hours as more urgent cases are taken first. Emergency room visits can also be quite expensive. Most of the time, non-life threatening injuries and illnesses can be treated at walk-in urgent care clinics such as AFC Urgent Care Bridgeport.

According to the Center for Disease Control (CDC), a typical visit to a hospital emergency department is on average over 4 hours.  Many of the reasons why patients are there are non-urgent or semi-urgent.  Approximately 40% of these reasons can be treated at a local urgent care center within an hour with better treatment and outcomes.

AFC Urgent Care Bridgeport can handle most cases on site. Both of our locations have lab testing and x-ray imaging on site. We have little to no wait time and always accept walk-ins. Our doctors on staff can diagnose and treat all patients of all ages. We also accept most insurances and often times cost your standard office copay, as opposed to that expensive ER copay.
